Hello AYSO families, players, and volunteers!  AYSO is excited to announce our first annual AYSO Youth Soccer Festival. The festival will be held on Saturday, August 23rd from 4-7pm at Rotary Park in Winters. This event celebrates our town's soccer culture, which attracts over 400 players every year. Our goal of the event is to raise funds to provide our youth players with equipment, scholarships, and to raise awareness of the different opportunities available to them.

Festival highlights include:

- Games and activities like a dunk tank, where you can dunk your coaches and referees, face painting, corn hole, mini scrimmages, and other soccer related games.

- Mini awards ceremony for coaches, players, referees, and volunteers of the year.

- Ticketed prize giveaway. 

- Food for purchase including hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies, and drinks, as well as desserts through local food trucks.

- Soccer donation station where you can drop new or gently used soccer uniforms and equipment.

Violet Tuel, a senior at Winters High School, is helping to lead this event, making it her Senior Capstone Project. She chose this project as her capstone because she wanted to share her love of soccer with others, and bring the community together. We are thankful to be partnering with Winters Hispanic Advisory Committee, and Comunidad Corazon as well as both local and non-local supporting sponsors.

We are in need of volunteers as well as donations.

Volunteer positions:

- Set up and clean up

- Preparing food

- Games/activities/dunk tank helpers

- Festival assistance

- Donation station

Donations:

- Monetary donations, checks can be made out to Winters AYSO and mailed to PO Box 753, Winters CA 95694

- Prize baskets

- Soccer uniform donations- New or gently used-  Cleats, shin guards, shorts, socks, jerseys, goalkeeper jerseys/pants, goalkeeper gloves, etc.

- Soccer equipment - Soccer balls, cones, pinnies, water bottles, etc.

We invite the community to participate in a day of soccer fun, and look forward to seeing everyone there. All past, present, and future soccer players, wear your favorite soccer team or AYSO jersey, and receive a free game ticket.
